What are the lighting standards AS2560.2?

As of August 2021, AS2560.2:2021 came into effect with a number of changes and improvements with their recommendations for lighting of sports facilities.  This is the first major change since LED has become dominant.

One of the key points is that recommended minimum levels have been increased to provide better lighting.

AS2560.2:2021 is a guide only and each sporting association may have their own requirements which may override these.  It is therefore important to understand what the requirement will be prior to getting designs or quotations done.
